What we do
We are a production company focused on producing new and exciting works in collaboration with local Montreal artists. Our inaugural production of Dear Jax was the winner of the Freestanding Room's Making Big Things Happen in Small Spaces award and nominee for Centaur Theatre's Best English Production at the 2019 St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival.
With the arrival of COVID, To the Hilt Productions has begun offering online streaming services for virtual events and meetings.
Clients include the Quebec Drama Federation, Teesri Duniya Theatre, the Montreal English Theatre Awards (METAs), Freefalling Monthly, Festival Accès Asie and more!

Dear Jax is a one-man show performed and written by Stephen Maclean Rogers in collaboration with Jean-Marc LeBlanc and produced by To the Hilt Productions.
It is an intimate story about Stephen's mother, Susan, who was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia after decades of working as a journalist and who passed away suddenly in 2016 with complications with fronto temporal dementia. After her death, boxes upon boxes were discovered, containing letters written by Susan to a "spirit" named Jax over the course of her life. With a hopeful and explorative tone, Stephen uses this project as a means to tell his mother's story while discussing mental health, spirituality and communication in all of its forms, all the while taking the audience on an intense, yet uplifting, journey.
Dear Jax was originally performed at the 2019 Montreal St. Ambroise Fringe Festival where it won the Freestanding Award and was nominated for Best English Production.
Dear Jax will be performed at the Guelph Fringe Festival on Friday, August 5 @ 6:30pm, Saturday, August 6 @ 6:30pm, and Sunday, August 7 @ 2:30pm.
The show will be taking place at the Red Brick Cafe, (8 Douglas St, Guelph, ON).
